Meet Coach Andrea Hudy –

2025 Women’s Basketball National Champion & Industry Legend


Andrea Hudy is the Director of Sports Performance for Women’s Basketball at the University of Connecticut and a 2025 NCAA National Champion. With over two decades of experience training elite-level athletes, Andrea is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in the world of strength and conditioning.

Before joining UConn in May 2021, Andrea oversaw the strength and conditioning programs for both the men’s and women’s basketball teams at the University of Texas. Prior to that, she spent 15 years at the University of Kansas as the Assistant Athletics Director for Sport Performance, where she led the Kansas men’s basketball strength program and played a vital role in multiple Final Four appearances.

Andrea’s work has earned national recognition. She was named National College Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year in 2013 and received the NSCA Impact Award in 2017, honoring her career-long contributions to the advancement of strength and conditioning on a global scale. In 2014, she published her book Power Positions, sharing her philosophy and approach to athletic performance.
